Not in Service (TBD)

Documentary Short

Whether we realize it, personal transportation is inexplicably tied to our wellbeing, our economic prosperity, and the health and future of our communities. For some, getting to work, school, the doctor’s office, or the grocery store is as simple as stepping outside and into a car. Yet, for millions of Americans, getting from point A to point B is an enduring daily challenge, mired in broken transit systems, gridlocked streets, failing infrastructure, and decades of political debate. How did this divide emerge? Why does America lag behind other countries in public transportation? What do recent transit projects tell us about our past and our future? – Not in Service examines these questions and their undercurrents of race, politics, and culture, through the rise and demise of Baltimore’s Red Line Project.
